The inaugural National Catholic Sisters Week (NCSW) will launch March 8-14, 2014, at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn., as a part of Women’s History Month. The celebratory week seeks to honor Catholic sisters’ contributions, both past and present. It will also connect college-age women with women religious to build relationships and foster a better understanding of an often-misunderstood vocation. As the kick-off event, SisterStories: How Did I Know?, for the inaugural National Catholic Sisters Week, join us for an afternoon of storytelling hosted by acclaimed broadcast journalist Soledad O'Brien, former CNN anchor and co-creator of the Starfish Foundation, followed by a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Archbishop Emeritus Harry Flynn in St. Catherine’s Our Lady of Victory Chapel. Tickets for the event are free, but must be reserved in advance. Tickets are available by calling 651.690.6700 or by visiting http://oshag.stkate.edu/event/sister-stories.
