Now in its 18th season, Exultate's Festival Choir and Orchestra always aim to uplift, and their performance of Bach's sacred 1724 oratorio in English instead of the original German is sure to be that much more soul-stirring. Based on the Gospel of John, the Passion of Christ story comes to dramatic and powerful life through the sound of more than 80 voices and instruments rising together. Several talented soloists are set to join the choir, including Roy Heilman as the Evangelist, the tenor specific to Bach works who narrates the exact words of the Bible.
