Another artist hailing from parts other than Minnesota is Kevin Thornton, bringing us Stairway to Kevin, my favorite in a pretty stellar lineup yesterday (Failure: A Love Story, Green T's 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Amateur Hour, all at the Illusion).
Keven has been to the Minnesota Fringe a couple times before, and has performed and toured all over in between. I love listening to him, and I love looking at him. Nice show mix of singing, guitar, stories and humor, sparkling icy eyes and easy grin. Terrific show. WARNING: Gay. Gay gay gay gay gay. I warn you of this only because if you're a girl, it won't matter how much you flirt and offer all manner of favors (and believe me, you'll want to), you'll still not be his type. Find him at the New Century Theatre downtown Friday at 7 or Sunday at 2:30.
