The "Ring of Kerry" encircles that part of Ireland where the mountains are higher, the greens are deeper and the Irish spirit is at its most rugged and invigorating. All five members sing and play several instruments, including Irish classics like the bodhran drum and penny whistle as well as more American additions like guitar and hammered dulcimer. The resulting sound can swell with the foot-stomping blast of a drinking song ... or grow quiet for a tear-jerking ballad of which the Irish (and just about everybody else) are so fond.
