World Without Genocide will host the Minnesota premiere of the Sundance Award-winning film Watchers of the Sky, about Raphael Lemkin, the man who coined the term genocide and made it an international crime. The film spans efforts from the Nuremberg Trials to the International Criminal Court, from Bosnia and Rwanda to Darfur, and from impunity to human rights law. Watchers has been shown in Geneva, Switzerland for the 25th Session of the UN Human Rights Council and has premiered in key US cities.
Open to the public; no reservations necessary. $10.00 general public, $5.00 students and seniors, free to Mitchell students.
