Composed in 1742, Messiah is the world’s most famous and beloved Baroque choral composition. Originally composed for a small chamber choir and orchestra, but as its popularity increased so did the size and scale of the performances. Re-connect to Messiah as it was originally conceived with all the intimacy, dance-like tempi and spirited ornamentation of the Baroque tradition heard within the perfect acoustics of the extraordinary Christ Church Lutheran, designed by Eliel Saarinen (in 1949) and part of the National Historic Landmark of buildings.
