Since 2003, Corcoran neighborhood has a tradition of celebrating the leadership of neighborhood residents. Community leaders are folks that undertake large or small-scale efforts, gestures of goodwill, and other acts that benefit our neighborhood.

Last year Genevieve Olive was highlight as a standout volunteer leader for helping to found the Corcoran Community Garden at the corner of 24th Ave S & E 33rd Street. The Lifetime Volunteer in Neighborhood award was given to Margaret Vaillancourt in acknowledgement to her many years of stewardship on her block.
