In June over 130 Walmart workers went on a legally protected Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike against Walmart’s illegal attempts to silence workers through punitive measures including reducing worker’s hours, suspensions and the firing of longtime employees who were speaking out for change at the company.

The strike, which lasted for two weeks, was the longest protracted strike against Walmart in its 51-year history. Members of the Organization United for Respect at Walmart (OUR Walmart), a group made up of current Walmart associates traveled to Bentonville, AR the home of Walmart headquarters and its annual shareholders meeting, to call on the company to end its illegal labor practices and to publicly commit to supporting its worker’s labor rights.

Americans believe in freedom of speech and the freedom to act together to make things right.

But when Walmart workers came together to protest Walmart's attempts to silence workers who spoke out for change, Walmart responded by firing and disciplining more than 60 workers.

For more than a month, OUR Walmart has asked the members of Walmart's Board of Directors to tell Walmart to reinstate the fired workers and remove the disciplinary actions, but they have remained silent.

Rally with us on September 5th and call on Walmart to reinstate and remove disciplinary actions from the Walmart 60!
