The show is set up as a drama class, a drama teacher takes you through the history of
theater starting in prehistoric times and going to the present day. Each major genre of
theater had a humorous snippet that the actors perform in somewhat ridicules costumes.
Making important stops along the were Oedipus Rex (the man who is looking for a cure to
baldness), a Shakespeare play about Joe (in which everyone dies), a play in which corn
is planted (everyone dies in this one to), a Russian play (with vodka), a musical (with a
hilarious West Side Story moment) and an absurdest piece (complete with a cheese hat).
Although not all the jokes in the show worked, or were particularly funny, things moved
fast enough and didn't get too bogged down. This show is fun and enjoyable, good but not great. I'd
suggest it to people who like and have some knowledge or passing interest in the history
and genres of theater.
