Open Auditions for “The Nutcracker” Ballet in the Northern Suburbs of the Twin Cities
This is a semi-professional production sponsored by the Minnesota Alliance for Dance Arts. These performances will be comprised of dance students ages 8 & up from different dance schools, also featuring professional dancers, and professionally designed costumes, sets, props, and lighting.
Open Auditions for Dancers age 8 and older male and female.
Adult dancers for the Parents, Party guests and Dr. Drosselmeyer needed.

Saturday, August 24th
10 am -- 11:15 am For Dancers 8 to 11 yrs.
11:15 am -- 12:45 pm For Dancers 12 & up
12:45 pm -- 2:00 pm Pointe Work For Dancers 13 yrs. & up
2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Adults and Dr. Drosselmeyer
or
Sunday, September 8th
1:00 pm -- 2:15 pm For Dancers 8 to 11 yrs.
2:15 pm - 3:30 pm For Dancers 12 & up
3:30 pm -- 4:45pm Pointe Work For Dancers 13 yrs. & up
4:45 pm - 5:15 pm Adults and Dr. Drosselmeyer
Dancers are required to audition only once and may choose to audition at either one of the above mentioned dates.
Open Audition will consist of a warm-up class, including barre and center work, followed by the instruction of a choreographic sequence from the ballet where the Artistic Staff will evaluate the candidates. There is a $10 audition fee payable to Minnesota Alliance for Dance Arts.
Dancers who are auditioning are required to arrive 30 minutes prior the audition start time.
Late candidates will not be accepted.
