Altered Esthetics presents "The Art House Film Festival" at the Southern Theater on Friday, July 25, 7-9 p.m.Suggested donation: $5.
The Southern Theater is the perfect venue for this series of shorts by 20 artists – works that range from experimental to comedy, video essays and poems, narrative to animation and the silent screen. The artists include local filmmakers such as James Vogel to filmmakers from around the country and France. A complete list of artists is included below.

The festival coincides with Altered Esthetics' July group exhibition at the Southern—"It Came from the Q.arma Building"—artworks inspired by B-Movies. Invoking the campy horror of classic movie posters here and abroad, as well as caricatures of veteran pop culture icons, the collection completes the movie house mise-en-scène.
