Open Streets Minneapolis

From one event in 2011 to SIX in 2014, Open Streets transforms neighborhoods into spaces for community, local business, healthy living and sustainability.  Sponsored by the Minneapolis Bike Coalition, Open Streets creates miles of safe, car-free streets in a particular neighborhood so that on one day, residents of all ages can walk, bike, shop, participate in spontaneous play activities, and get to know one another.  Each Open Streets event is different and celebrates the best of what that neighborhood has to offer.  Open Streets is always looking for volunteerts to help create the magic of these events!
