In this classic, a violent cycle of corruption and betrayal is set in motion when the popular King Duncan of Scotland is murdered by Macbeth, his trusted friend. Macbeth -- with his ambitious wife by his side -- achieves the power he believes he deserves, but the price is tragically high. Shakespeare's masterpiece provides a glimpse into the human heart, with the "black and deep desires" found in even the best men and women and asks the question: "What would you be willing to do to achieve your dreams?"
